Luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. said it plans to close its partly because of difficult economic times, hampered the demand for jewelry pearl jewelry unprofitable Iridesse chain.
Tiffany spokesman Mark Aaron said Iridesse not yet profitable, since it opened in 2004. Aaron said Iridesse also had a "very moderate" sales at Tiffany's total annual income of less than 1%.
